Every times, when I perceive something, I would realize that what the truth is. Out of my windows I should see the life which is contained with love, hate, beautiful, good, bad, houses, cars, building and so on….
Are these real? : Sometimes we feel that’s love, sometimes we see that’s beauty.
Warning: “Don’t believe in anything”, I think that now a day we were framed to believe in whatever the senders or others try to message to lure us. Therefore I would show you the example pictures to bring you to your senses which these pictures will demonstrate visual phenomena, and optical – the visual illusions and you will know that most effects have their basis in the visual pathway, not in the optics of the eyes. Don’t distress yourself if you don’t see the effect described, even if trying carefully. For many illusions, there are a small percentage of people with perfectly normal vision who just don’t see it, for reasons currently unknown.
Hopefully, you may be glad to know: There are no tasteless surprises, these infantile pranks where you scrutinize a picture and these phenomena are really understood; any nice and thoughtful comment welcome, then try it!

Gotcha! After seeing the pictures, I’m glad to share and expand more explanation about what are "illusions"? Illusions trick us into perceiving something differently than it actually exists, so what we see does not correspond to physical reality. Hence, the word illusion comes from the Latin verb illudere meaning, " to mock." In addition, some illusions show us one thing in a picture, while someone else sees something entirely different in the same picture.
Warning (again): you and also the research scientists must be sure that the result of your works are not "illusory" in nature and need to accurately report what "is", rather than their general "impression" of "what is". So many times people will repeat an experiment or testing many times, or in different laboratories, to ensure that their results were valid.
Pictures hints:
1. You would see the picture of a lady or may be the old man.
2. This picture shows an old couple - see profiles of faces - is remembering the times when they were young and full of life - see the sitting characters.
3. This one is interesting. Children will probably see a group of playing dolphins. But adults see usually something else. It's called Message of Love from the Dolphins (by Sandro Del-Prete).
4. Sigmund Freud and what really on his mind is.

ReplyDeleteSo, your points are to tell us not to be framed and to make sure we not fall in our illusion, right? Framing is what we have to encounter with everyday (from people we talk to, soap operas, drama series, advertisements and News). I agree with you in the point that we should not believe in whatever the messages senders try to lure us (if we can notice it). But I also have a different idea too. I think people are framed not only because they don’t know about it. Sometimes, (just sometimes, alright?) even they notice they accept it willingly. To live safe and easy lives, they don’t want to differentiate themselves from the community. Like when the majority are framed by someone they trust and think what they believe in is right. You can’t just stand there in front of them and tell them what’s wrong, or else you’ll be the one who’s got in trouble. That’s why they pretend not to see, and accept the frame by their own.
ReplyDeleteFor illusion, it’s easier to be said than done. To not lose oneself in illusion and think critically about our every move are hard. We see what we want to see and we believe what we want to believe. If the truth is too harsh for us, we tend to not accept it and lose ourselves in illusions. Like the way we see the picture you give, we can only choose to see one side of it in the first place. We don’t see it both in the same time. The first picture I perceive is what I choose to see.
I like to see this kind of picture, too. It’s interesting and challenging. There are more than 1 perspective in each pictures. It’s not wrong if we see different something differently from the others. It’s as same as our idea. We were born to be different. Each person must have different ideas. In Thailand nowadays, people are separated into many groups. It creates confusion and crisis in society because of different ideas. I think we can not judge other people by using our own idea only, but we should try to understand the others in the way they are. Sometimes, we should open the mind to accept the new point of view. This will make us in society more happily.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with Sirigalya and Khanitta. Everything in this modern world is full of illusion, especially in the world of entertainment. Many things shown by Medias are illusion. We can see that many advertisements are used various kinds of elements such as colors, images, lights, etc to attract us. They try to flame us to do what they want to present and persuade us to do or, of course, to buy their products. I always criticize about the use of girl images in many commercials. Girl images are presented as being pretty, white complexion with any flawless skin and good figure. These frame all girls to believe that they must be like that so they will be attractive to men. Not only does a physical appearance is framed, an attitude is also framed by the media. Do girls have to act themselves confidently like a queen prom? Does only beauty can make them feel worthy? Many girls believe in this way and they do many things like the media tell them to do. This may cause problems to them. Some girls are suffering with their physical appearance because they want to be like a model who is slim, white and pretty. So, they try many wrong ways such as starving themselves in order to lose their weight and do many things to fulfill their own satisfaction even though they have no problem about their weight and figure at all. As I am a woman, I am not going to deny that I don’t care about the physical appearance and how my look is. But I know what I should do and act myself appropriately. Of course, we, being a woman want to be pretty but it depends on how we act ourselves and responds to those illusion created by those advertisements. My point is the best thing to avoid being framed, we must be aware of them and use our critical thinking in order to analyze what is true, what is good or wrong, and what is real and what is not. Therefore, we will not follow things that are bad and inappropriate.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that nowadays this world is full of illusions. Many people just build the shelter of goodness or the mask that hide the real thing inside their mind. Because this world is cruel these days so people have to be more hypocritical to survive. The illusion pictures above are so fantastic that we can see them in different perspectives. The illusion tricks our eyes to perceive the picture differently just like people trick each others in society. People who we think is good may not be as good as we think. For example, love is so beautiful for many people but it can turn to nightmare in the other day. Hence, we have to see things in many perspective and we will understand this world more clearly.
